Hic sunt leones is an expression associated with ancient maps to denote areas still unexplored. We still understood it as a quest, but a different, deeper quest.
The 'example is that of the man who wants to conquer the moon after giving it a deep, magical, mythical meaning. One knows where one wants to go but one does not know where one will arrive. It is necessary to detach from the earth, from ourselves, from our beliefs. Nothing is certain, only the propulsive feeling that drives us into the unknown, this is the second spatial dimension.

Hic sunt leones è un’espressione associata alle carte geografiche antiche per indicare le zone ancora inesplorate. L’abbiamo intesa ancora come ricerca, ma una ricerca diversa, più profonda.
L’ esempio è quello dell’uomo che vuole conquistare la luna dopo averle conferito un significato profondo, magico e mitico. Si sa dove si vuole andare ma non si sa dove arriveremo. Occorre staccarsi dalla terra, da noi stessi, dalle nostre convinzioni. Niente è certo, solo il sentimento propulsivo che ci spinge verso l’ignoto, questa è la seconda dimensione spaziale.
